pictures

so right now (via phone, internet) matthias and i are sorting through our hundreds of wedding photos to see what ones we want to have in an album.

our photographer, as i have mentioned, is amazing. it's really hard narrowing them down.

in other news...matthias and i haven't even known each other for 1 year yet. how crazy is that?

i told him i wouldn't stay up too late and i'd go to bed by 11:30. so this is my cue..........

what to do when my hubby is out of town?

matthias has to go out of town a lot. bad economy (i guess) means that his company has better luck finding work for them out of town. this week he is in charlotte.

i am usually a complete zombie the first day he goes out of town. spending my whole evening staring at the computer and tv. i hope i can pull myself together better this time.

one thing i want to do is order pictures: wedding, honeymoon, and life. and then make the "life" scrapbook. the honeymoon one i am ordering off of mixbook.com and the wedding one i am getting from our amazing wedding photographer karenlane. you can see her blog at karenlane.tyepepad.com

another thing is clean lots. like cleaning the baseboards, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming. that would be wonderful.

oh and exercise. 2 laps around my apartment complex equals about 1.4 miles. if i can just do that every day, i'll be happy.

The Better Half

So this is the better half of our newly found marriage. I am very excited about being a dad. I know that it is going to be so much fun. I have always been good with kids and now I get to have my own so it is very exciting. Being a dad has always been something that I have wanted to do, maybe because I had such a large family and really liked it. Six brother is the way to go I am telling you, you always have something to do. Sports, build forts, make up games, what ever you want, and it is also nice to have twenty acres of land to do it on. We were always having a great time together except for when someone broke something or someone got hurt, but that is just the life of a boy.

Well not much else on my mind but maybe more to come if Lindsay can convince me to write some more.

morning sickness

i have been tempted the past few days to make a post about how lousy i have felt. morning sickness is not fun. it is interesting though. it's a lot easier to talk about when i am not currently experiencing it, like now. if i was feeling sick, i would probably talk about how hard it is being pregnant, how horrible i feel, how i can't wait for my 2nd trimester, etc. but right now i feel pretty good (except for a little cold) so i don't want to complain.

i am pretty excited about my 2nd trimester though. probably no morning sickness, growing belly that actually looks pregnant...and my 2nd trimester will be in the FALL!!!! yay...my absolute favorite time of the year.

fall is so wonderful. i love fall weather. i love chilly mornings and nights and a somewhat mild day. i love the changing leaves. i love the state fair!! the only sad thing about the state fair this year is that i can't ride the rides. last year, janell and i rode them together...got a ton of tickets and rode quite a few rickety rides. they were crazy and fun. matthias and i also started falling in love last year. what a perfect time to fall in love. i'm waiting to see who's next.
